Calla's Pennies From Heaven Penny is a special girl.  She was the first kitten born in the first litter of American Shorthairs that I ever produced.  She was the first kitten of my own breeding that I took to a show ring.  She was my first TICA International Winner and my first TICA Supreme Grand Champion.  She is the mother of Calla's Heavens To Betsy, who was 5th Best International Kitten, Best American Shorthair Kitten, Best American Shorthair Cat and 12th Best International Shorthair Cat all in one show season.   I love this little poem about Pennies From Heaven.  Hope you enjoy it, too.      Today I found a penny, Just laying on the ground. But it's not just a penny, This little coin I've found. Found pennies come from heaven. That's what my Grandpa told me. He said Angels toss them down. Oh, how I loved that story. He said when an Angel misses you, They toss a penny down, Sometimes just to cheer you up, To make a smile out of your frown. So don't pass by that penny When you're feeling blue; It may be a Penny from Heaven That an Angel's tossed to you.
